Preparations

 Place the selections in the Selections folder to your PSP program

 

Double-click on the Preset 'cas_Victoria_Glass' and it is automatically imported into Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Impact - Glass.

My images can be used in PSP 7 and newer versions.

Tips!

* If you use other colors, you can change Blend Mode and Opacity for a better result.

* You may want to use same shades of colors (light and dark colors). Other shades can result in a very different image.

* Make sure your image has the same size as written in section 1. Selections will not match an image in a different size.

1.   Set the foregroundcolor to #f5f6ec and backgroundcolor to #baa3af

 

       Change the foregroundcolor to Gradient, Foreground-Background:

 

      

 

       Open New Transparent Image 900 x 500 pixels.

 

       Flood Fill with the gradient.

 

 

2.   Effects - Image Effects - Seamless Tiling:

 

      

 

 

3.   Effects - Plugins - VM Toolbox - Trimosaic:

 

      

 

       Effects - Edge Effects - Enhance.

 

 

4.   Effects - Plugins - FM Tile Tools - Roll Image:

 

      

 

 

5.   Open the tube 'FB0396'.

 

       Window - Duplicate.

 

       Close down the original and activate the copy.

 

 

6.   Activate Selection Tool - Rectangle, Feather 0 and select the logo:

 

      

 

       Edit - Clear, or hit the Delete key on your keyboard.

 

       On your image, Selections - Select None.

 

       Edit - Copy.

 

       Minimize the tube, we need it later.

 

 

7.   On your image, Layers - New Raster Layer, Raster 2.

 

       Selections - Select All.

 

       Edit - Paste into Selection.

 

       Selections - Select None.

 

 

8.   Effects - Image Effects - Seamless Tiling:

 

      

 

 

9.   Effects - Texture Effects - Fur:

 

      

 

 

10. Effects - Plugins - Mehdi - Melt:

 

      

 

       Effects - Edge Effects - Enhance.

 

       In the Layerpalette, set Blend Mode to Multiply.

 

       Layers - Duplicate.

 

 

       Your image should look like this now:

 

      

 

 

11. Layers - New Raster Layer, Raster 3.

       Change the foregroundcolor back to Color #f5f6ec

 

       Flood Fill the layer with the foregroundcolor.

 

 

12. Open Mask 'OBG_MASK_64' and minimize it.

 

       Layers - New Mask Layer - From Image.

 

       Find 'OBG_MASK_64':

 

      

 

 

13. Activate the layer 'Mask - Raster 3'.

 

       Layers - Duplicate:

 

      

 

       Layers - Merge - Merge Group.

 

       In the Layerpalette, set Blend Mode to Luminance (Legacy).

 

 

14. Open Mask 'OBG_MASK_46'.

 

       Window - Duplicate, close down the original.

 

       On the copy, Image - Canvas Size with these settings.

 

       Start by unchecking 'Lock aspect ratio':

 

      

       Color #000000

 

       Note the name of the copy:

 

      

 

       Minimize the mask.

 

 

15. On your image, Layers - New Raster Layer, Raster 3.

 

       Change the foregroundcolor to #ffffff

 

       Flood Fill the layer with the foregroundcolor.

 

       Layers - New Mask Layer - From Image.

 

       Find your copy of the mask:

 

      

 

       Layers - Merge - Merge Group.

 

 

16. Image - Mirror - Mirror Horizontal (in previous PSP versions 'Image - Mirror')

 

       Activate Pick Tool with these settings:

 

      

 

       In the Layerpalette, set Blend Mode to Overlay.

 

 

17. Layers - Duplicate.

 

       Image - Mirror - Mirror Horizontal (in previous PSP versions 'Image - Mirror')

 

       Image - Mirror - Mirror Vertical (in previous PSP versions 'Image - Flip').

 

       In the Layerpalette, set Blend Mode to Normal.

 

 

18. Open Image 'cas_Victoria_Deco1'.

 

       Edit - Copy, close it down.

 

       On your image, Edit - Paste as New Layer, Raster 3.

 

       Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow:

 

      

       Color #000000

 

 

19. Open Image 'cas_Victoria_Deco2'.

 

       Edit - Copy, close it down.

 

       On your image, Edit - Paste as New Layer, Raster 4.

 

 

20. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow:

 

      

       Color #000000

 

       In the Layerpalette, set Blend Mode to Luminance (Legacy) and Opacity to 90.

 

 

21. Open Image 'cas_Victoria_Deco3'.

 

       Edit - Copy, close it down.

 

       On your image, Edit - Paste as New Layer, Raster 5.

 

 

22. In the top menu, choose Objects - Align - Top.

 

       Repeat Objects - Align but choose Right.

 

      

 

       Instead you can choose Effects - Image Effects - Offset:

 

      

 

 

23. Open Image 'cas_Victoria_Deco4'.

 

       Edit - Copy, close it down.

 

       On your image, Edit - Paste as New Layer, Raster 6.

 

       Activate Pick Tool with these settings:

 

      

 

 

24. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow:

 

      

       Color #886475

 

       Repeat Drop shadow, same color but with these settings:

 

      

 

 

       Your image should look like this now:

 

      

 

 

25. Activate the second layer from the bottom, Raster 2.

 

       Layers - Duplicate.

 

       Layers - Arrange - Bring to Top.

 

       Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection from Disk.

 

       Find 'cas_Victoria_Sel1':

 

      

 

26. Activate Move Tool and move the layer into the selection till you have the pattern you wish:

 

      

 

       Selections - Promote Selection to Layer.

 

       Keep the selection on and activate the second layer from the top 'Copy of Raster 2':

 

      

 

       Layers - Delete.

 

 

27. Activate the top layer 'Promoted Selection'.

 

       Layers - New Raster Layer, Raster 7.

       Flood Fill the selection with the backgroundcolor #baa3af

 

       Selections - Modify - Contract 19 pixel.

 

       Edit - Clear, or hit the Delete key on your keyboard.

 

 

28. Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Impact - Glass.

 

       Under Settings - User Settings you choose 'cas_Victoria_Glass':

 

      

 

       Selections - Select None.

 

 

29. Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection from Disk like before, but find 'cas_Victoria_Sel2'.

 

       Flood Fill the selection with the foregroundcolor #ffffff

 

       Selection - Select None.

 

       Layers - Merge - Merge Down.

 

 

30. Layers - Duplicate.

 

       Image - Resize 70%, uncheck All Layers.

 

       Activate Pick Tool with these settings:

 

      

 

      

31. Layers - Duplicate.

 

       Image - Resize 80%, uncheck All Layers.

 

       Activate Pick Tool again with these settings:

 

      

 

       Layers - Merge - Merge Down.

 

       Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen.

 

       Layers - Merge - Merge Down.

 

 

32. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow:

 

      

       Color #000000

 

 

33. Open Image 'cas_Victoria_Deco5'.

 

       Edit - Copy, close it down.

 

       On your image, Edit - Paste as New Layer, Raster 7.

 

       Activate Pick Tool with these settings:

 

      

 

 

34. Open Image 'cas_Victoria_Deco6'.

 

       Edit - Copy, close it down.

 

       On your image, Edit - Paste as New Layer, Raster 8.

 

       Activate Pick Tool with these settings:

 

      

 

 

35. Open Image 'cas_Victoria_Text1'.

 

       Edit - Copy, close it down.

 

       On your image, Edit - Paste as New Layer, Raster 9.

 

       Activate Pick Tool and place it up to the right like this:

 

      

 

 

36. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow:

 

      

       Color #886475

 

       Repeat Drop Shadow, same color but with these settings:

 

      

 

 

37. Open Image 'cas_Victoria_Text2'.

 

       Edit - Copy, close it down.

 

       On your image, Edit - Paste as New Layer, Raster 10.

 

       Activate Pick Tool and place it down to the left like this:

 

      

 

 

38. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow:

 

      

       Color #886475

 

 

39. Open the copy of the tube, you minimized in section 6.

 

       Edit - Copy, close it down.

 

       On your image, Edit - Paste as New Layer, Raster 11.

 

       Image - Resize 72%, uncheck All Layers.

 

       Activate Pick Tool again and place it in the bottom like this:

42. Image - Add Borders, Symmetric, 10 pixels, color #ffffff

43. Open Image 'cas_Victoria_Deco7'.

 

       Edit - Copy, close it down.

 

       On your image, Edit - Paste as New Layer, Raster 1.

 

       Activate Pick Tool and place it up in the right corner like this:

 

      

 

       Layers - Duplicate.

 

       Image - Mirror - Mirror Horizontal (in previous PSP versions 'Image - Mirror')

 

       Image - Mirror - Mirror Vertical (in previous PSP versions 'Image - Flip')

 

       Image - Add Borders, Symmetric, 1 pixel, color #886475

 

44. Resize your image, if you want it smaller.

 

       Sign your image or place your watermark and save as JPG.
