Preparations

 Place the selections in the Selections folder to your PSP program

 

Double-click on the Preset 'cas_Birds_Glass' and it is automatically imported into Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Impact.

 

 

My images can be used in PSP 7 and newer versions.

If you use an older version, you can contact me and tell me, what version you need.

Tips!

* If you use other colors, you can change Blend Mode and Opacity for a better result.

* You may want to use same shades of colors (light and dark colors). Other shades can result in a very different image.

* Make sure your image has the same size as written in section 1. Selections will not match an image in a different size.

1.   Set the foregroundcolor to #ffffff and the backgroundcolor to #0c2c36

 

       Open New Transparent Image 900 x 500 pixels.

 

       Flood Fill the layer with the backgroundcolor

 

 

2.   Open the tube 'Oiseau jewel 007'.

 

       Edit - Copy, close it down.

 

       Edit - Paste as New Image.

 

       Activate Selection Tool - Rectangel - Feather 0 and select the logo:

 

      

 

       Edit - Clear, or hit the Delete key on your keyboard.

 

       Selections - Select None.

 

       Edit - Copy and minimize it. We need it later.

 

 

3.   Layers - New Raster Layer, Raster 2.

 

       Selections - Select All.

 

       Edit - Paste into Selection.

 

       Selections - Select None.

 

 

4.   Layers - Duplicate.

 

       Close the eye on the copy and activate the original, Raster 2:

 

      

 

       Adjust - Blur - Radial Blur:

 

      

 

5.   Effects - Image Effects - Seamless Tiling:

 

      

 

       Effects - Edge Effects - Enhance.

 

 

6.   Effects - Plugins - VM Natural - Weave No Distortion:

 

      

 

       In the Layerpalette, set Blend Mode to Hard Light and Opacity to 72.

 

 

7.   Open the eye on the top layer, Copy of Raster 2, and activate it.

 

       Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur 36.

 

       Effects - Plugins - Filter Factory Gallery A - Holidays in Egypt:

 

      

 

 

8.   Effects - Image Effects - Seamless Tiling:

 

      

 

       Effects - Edge Effects - Enhance.

 

       In the Layerpalette, set Blend Mode to Overlay.

 

      Layers - Duplicate.

 

       Image - Mirror - Mirror Horizontal (in previous PSP versions 'Image - Mirror').

 

 

9.   Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection from Disk.

 

       Find 'cas_Birds_Sel1':

 

      

 

       Selections - Promote Selection to Layer.

 

       Selections - Select None.

 

 

10. Effects - Plugins - L en K Landksiteofwonders - L en K's palmyre with the standard settings:

 

      

 

       Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen.

 

       In the Layerpalette, set Blend Mode to Hard Light and Opacity to 78.

 

       Layers - Merge - Merge Visible.

 

 

       Your image should look like this now:

 

      

 

 

11. Change the foregroundcolor to #3f9eb6

 

       Set the foregroundcolor to Gradient Foreground-background:

 

      

 

       Layers - New Raster Layer, Raster 1.

 

       Flood Fill the layer with the gradient.

 

 

12. Effects - Plugins - AP 01 [Innovations] - Lines - Silver Lining:

 

      

 

       If you use other colors, you may have to change Threshold, if the lines do not look like this:

 

      

 

 

13. Open Mask 'Narah_Mask_1091' and minimize it.

 

       Layers - New Mask Layer - From image.

 

       Find 'Narah_Mask_1091':

 

      

 

 

14. Layers - Merge - Merge Group.

 

       Selections - Select All.

 

       Selections - Modify - Contract 1 pixel.

 

       Selections - Invert.

 

       Edit - Clear, or hit Delete on your keyboard.

 

       Selections - Select None.

 

 

15. Effects - Image Effects - Offset:

 

      

 

 

16. Effects - Image Effects - Seamless Tiling:

 

      

 

       In the Layerpalette, set Blend Mode to Screen and Opacity to 68.

 

 

17. Open the Image 'cas_Birds_Deco1'.

 

       Edit - Copy, close it down.

 

       On your image, Edit - Paste as New Layer, Raster 1.

 

       Effect - Image Effects - Offset:

 

      

 

 

18. Open the Image 'cas_Birds_Deco2'.

 

       Edit - Copy, close it down.

 

       On your image, Edit - Paste as New Layer, Raster 2.

 

       Effect - Image Effects - Offset:

 

      

 

 

19. Layers - Duplicate.

 

       Image - Mirror - Mirror Vertical (in previous PSP versions 'Image - Flip').

 

       Effects - Image Effects - Offset:

 

      

 

 

20. Open the copy of 'Oiseau jewel 007' from section 2.

 

       Edit - Copy, close it down.

 

       Edit - Paste as New Layer, Raster 3.

 

       Image - Resize 62%, uncheck All Layers.

 

       Image - Mirror - Mirror Horizontal (in previous PSP versions 'Image - Mirror').

 

       Activate Pick Tool and place it like this:

 

      

 

 

21. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow:

 

      

       Color #000000

 

 

22. Activate the bottom layer, Merged.

 

       Edit - Copy.

 

       Activate the top layer, Raster 3.

 

       Layers - New Raster Layer, Raster 4.

 

       Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection like before, but find 'cas_Birds_Sel2'.

 

23. Change the foregroundcolor back to #ffffff

 

       Flood Fill the selection with the foregroundcolor.

 

       Selections - Modify - Contract 1 pixel.

 

       Edit - Paste into Selection.

 

 

24. Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Impact - Glass.

 

       Under Settings - User Settings, choose Preset 'cas_Birds_Glass':

 

      

 

       Selections - Select None.

 

 

25. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow:

 

      

       Color #000000

 

 

26. Layers - New Raster Layer, Raster 5.

 

       Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection like before, but find 'cas_Birds_Sel3'.

 

       Flood Fill the selection with the foregroundcolor #ffffff

 

       Selections - Modify - Contract 1 pixel.

 

       Edit - Paste into Selection (it is in your computers memory from section 22).

 

 

27. Effects - Plugins - AAA Frames - Foto Frame:

 

      

 

       Selections - Select None.

 

 

28. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow:

 

      

       Color #000000

 

 

29. Layers - Duplicate.

 

       Image - Mirror - Mirror Vertical (in previous PSP versions 'Image - Flip').

       Layers - Arrange - Bring to top.

 

 

30. Layers - New Raster Layer, Raster 6.

 

       Selections - Load/Save Selection like before, but find 'cas_Birds_Sel4'.

 

       Edit - Paste into Selection (it is in your computers memory from section 22).

 

 

31. Effects - Plugins - AAA Frames - Foto Frame:

 

      

 

 

32. Layers - New Raster Layer, Raster 7.

       Flood Fill the selection with the foregroundcolor #ffffff

 

       Selections - Modify - Contract 1 pixel.

 

       Edit - Clear or hit Delete on your keyboard.

 

       Selections - Select None.

 

       Layers - Merge - Merge Down.

 

 

33. Effects  - Plugins - MuRa's Meister - Copies.

 

       Start by choosing 1 and 2:

 

      

 

       Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen.

 

 

34. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow:

 

      

       Color #ffffff

 

       Check in Shadow on new layer.

 

 

35. Layers - Duplicate.

 

       Effects - Image Effects - Offset:

 

      

 

       Layers - Merge - Merge Down.

 

       In the Layerpalette, set Blend Mode to Overlay.

 

 

36. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow:

 

      

       Color #000000

 

       Uncheck Shadow on new layer.

 

       Activate the top layer and repeat Drop Shadow 2 times.

 

 

37. Open the Image 'cas_Birds_Deco3'.

 

       Edit - Copy, close it down.

 

       On your image, Edit - Paste as New Layer, Raster 7.

 

       Effect - Image Effects - Offset:

 

      

 

 

38. Open the Image 'cas_FlyingBirds'.

 

       Edit - Copy, close it down.

 

       On your image, Edit - Paste as New Layer, Raster 8.

 

       Activate Pick Tool and place it like this:

 

      

 

       In the Layerpalette, set Blend Mode to Soft Light.

 

 

39. Layers - Duplicate.

 

       Image - Mirror - Mirror Horizontal (in previous PSP versions 'Image - Mirror').

 

       Activate Pick Tool again and place it in the bottom like this:

 

      

 

 

40. Activate Raster 8.

 

       Image - Negative Image.

 

       Activate the top layer Copy of Raster 8.

 

 

41. Open the Image 'cas_Birds_Text1'.

 

       Edit - Copy, close it down.

 

       On your image, Edit - Paste as New Layer, Raster 9.

 

       Activate Pick Tool again and place it like this:

 

      

 

 

42. Open the Image 'cas_Birds_Text2'.

 

       Edit - Copy, close it down.

 

       On your image, Edit - Paste as New Layer, Raster 10.

 

       Effect - Image Effects - Offset:

 

      

 

 

43. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow:

 

      

       Color #17366d

 

 

44. Layers - Duplicate.

 

       Effect - Image Effects - Offset:

 

      

 

 

45. Image - Add Borders:

 

      

       Color #ffffff

 

       Image - Add Borders - Symmetric, 30 pixels, color #03090b

 

       Image - Add Borders - Symmetric, 1 pixel, color #ffffff

 

       Image - Add Borders - Symmetric, 40 pixels, color #03090b

 

 

46. Effects - Plugins - AAA Frames - Foto Frame:

 

      

 

       Image - Add Borders - Symmetric, 1 pixel, color #ffffff.

 

 

47. Resize your image, if you want it smaller.

 

       Sign your image or place your watermark and save as JPG.
